About the Design Project
Objective: to make learning more engaging and effective through integrating animated video content into the course materials.
The project included the development of a comprehensive set of elements:
visual identity (graphics, color scheme, typography, illustrations);
motion graphics for lessons (intros, animated graphics, navigation elements);
printed materials (lesson assignments, stickers);
advertising materials and social media assets (internet banners, VK Platform design, email newsletters);
project presentation (PDF presentation, video presentation).
The project was implemented in 2021-2022 and was particularly relevant in the post-pandemic context.

Concept
A sketch is typically a quick, lively drawing where minor imperfections, irregularities, and spontaneity are often valued. The project's concept reflects this idea by moving away from academic rigor and strict structures. The visual style is based on "imperfect" hand-drawn graphics, crumpled paper textures, handwritten fonts, and flat 2D graphics.
A key graphics of the design are sketching tools in motion — drawing, outlining, shading, and filling. This not only reinforces associations with quick sketches through the nature of movement, plasticity, dynamics, and speed but also directs the viewer's attention, creating necessary visual accents.
Design Solutions
The color palette was chosen to be bright and modern, with four primary colors for video lessons and six additional colors for print materials, advertisements, newsletters, and social media.
The typographic approach is based on a combination of two modern handwritten fonts that contrast well and complement each other harmoniously. Title scriber.biz is large, easy to read, and helps emphasize the lesson topic. Scriber.biz2021 closely imitates handwriting and is associated with sketching.
All design components serve not only a stylistic but also a functional role. For example, a paper-textured background (grid or lined) indicates which module the student is currently on.
